Vayuputron Ki Shapath (The Oath of the Vayuputras)

Vayuputron Ki Shapath (The Oath of the Vayuputras) is the third and final book in Amish Tripathi's Shiva Trilogy. It picks up where the previous book, The Secret of the Nagas, left off. Shiva, the Neelkanth, has defeated the Nagas and avenged the death of his mentor, Brahaspati. However, he has also learned a terrible secret: the Nagas were not the real enemy. The real enemy is a mysterious group of warriors known as the Vayuputras.

Shiva is determined to stop the Vayuputras, but he first needs to learn more about them. He travels to the Vayuputras' home, the land of Gandharva, where he meets with their leader, Akash. Akash tells Shiva that the Vayuputras are a people of peace, but they are forced to fight to protect themselves from the Nagas.

Shiva is torn between his loyalty to Meluha and his newfound friendship with the Vayuputras. He eventually decides to side with the Vayuputras, and they together launch a holy war against the Nagas.

The Oath of the Vayuputras is a thrilling and action-packed novel that explores themes of good versus evil, love, and loss. It is a fitting conclusion to the Shiva Trilogy, and it will leave readers wanting more.

Here are some of the things I liked about the book:

  • The characters are well-developed and relatable. Shiva is a complex and conflicted protagonist, and I found myself rooting for him even when he made mistakes. I also enjoyed the characters of Sati, Akash, and the other Vayuputras.
  • The plot is fast-paced and exciting. There is plenty of action and adventure, and the twists and turns keep you guessing until the very end.
  • The setting is vividly described. I felt like I was transported to the ancient world of Meluha and Gandharva.

Here are some of the things I didn't like about the book:

  • The ending felt a bit rushed. I would have liked to see more of the aftermath of the war.
  • Some of the philosophical discussions were a bit heavy-handed.

Overall, I thought The Oath of the Vayuputras was a great book. It is a must-read for fans of mythology, adventure, and well-written fiction.
